Overview:
The carrier's communication network can be divided as follows: backbone network + access network by transmission types.
Metropolitan Area Network (MAN): In the transmission network of operators, the MAN can be understood as the backbone of a city. And common metropolitan area networks are city-county metropolitan area network (CMAN) and district-town metropolitan area network (DMAN). The CMAN is mainly the city-level backbone network composed of urban area and each county within the jurisdiction. The DMAN is mainly the city-level backbone network composed of each district and each town within the jurisdiction.
The MAN are also often called metropolitan area convergence networks because each node in the MAN is an important convergence point, each covering a few kilometers to tens of kilometers of nearby traffic.
The network structure of metropolitan convergence network is composed of ring and long chain.




Brief description of programme description:
The Operator MAN mainly covers city county district town machine room business  whose main characteristics of the network are that there are many kinds of transmission services, mixed transmission with different rates, strong service scheduling capability and high performance requirements for equipment. XYT-OTN2800 optical transmission platform OTN equipment and XYT-1600 active wavelength division integrated transmission platform are used to construct the SHARETOPs transmission scheme of metro area convergence network.




Programme characteristics:
1. Support for ultra-large capacity transmission, single wave transmission 100G/200G;
2. Support ultra-long distance transmission and single span can reach more than 120 km;
3. Support for loop and long link transmission;
4. Support DWDM and CWDM networking and multi-service mixed transmission;
5. Support in-band out-of-band network management, remote monitoring and configuration of equipment;
6. Support automatic dispersion compensation function, optical amplification function, optical protection function.
