Customer Background
The clients are two universities in Jiangsu Province, located in Nanjing (Southeast University) and Suzhou (Xijiao Liverpool University). In order to strengthen the resource sharing and teaching cooperation between the two universities, the two universities decided to build a high-speed Internet information highway in 2018. At the same time, this project is also a demonstration project of the Provincial Education Bureau.
Business Challenges
1. the two universities are located in different cities. The total distance between optical cables is about 450km, which belongs to long-distance transmission, and the total line loss is large;
2. the 450km optical fiber line is not pure bare fiber, but only rents a wavelength division service channel from other manufacturers, which means that the xianyitong equipment must be compatible with the equipment of other manufacturers in the middle stations, and it is inconvenient to enter the machine rooms in the middle stations during construction, so it can only be constructed in the machine rooms of Universities on both sides;
3. the interconnection bandwidth is 100g per wave, which requires mixed transmission of services with different rates with other devices;
4. the switches on both sides of the customer side belong to different brands. Xianyitong also needs to be compatible with different brands of equipment on both sides of the customer side.
