Product Description

A wavelength division multiplexer is a device that can couple two or more different wavelength optical models into a single optical fiber for transmission. Conversely, it can separate and demultidense two or more optical signals of different wavelengths within a single optical fiber. As shown in the diagram, two different beams of light are input from the common terminal. The WDM device allows one beam of a specific wavelength to pass through and output at the transmitted end, while the remaining wavelength is coupled back to the reflecting end for output—this is the process of wavelength splitting. Similarly, the optical path of WDM devices is reversible.


The coarse wavelength division multiplexer CWDM module uses TFF (Thin Film Filter) technology, complying with the ITU-T G.694.2 standard, with one channel every 20 nm in the 1270-1610 nm range. It can carry 2-18 CWDM wavelengths through a single fiber fiber, with each wavelength not affecting the other, so the signal does not interfere with the other. Each channel is usually transparent about data speed and type, so any combination of transmission service types can be transmitted simultaneously via a single fiber or a pair of fibers
