The spectral characteristics of super radiation light emitting diode (SLED) light source are between conventional semiconductor laser and light emitting diode (LED). It has wide spectrum, large optical power output and easy coupling with single-mode fiber. It is an ideal light source in the field of optical fiber sensing.
